What is SIP Trunking and why is it so appealing?

SIP stands for Session Initiation Protocol. A SIP session is essentially a standard phone call between 2 participants, a multiple party conference call or even a video call.
What is a SIP Trunk?

VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol, which means any voice call transmitted over a data network, in more simple terms phone service over the internet.
